Text on back of card: Aerial view of the Dimmuborgir area. In ancient times the area was engulfed in a lava lake. After partial hardening of the formations the area drained, leaving behind the fantastic lava shapes. Directly behind lies the 1 km wide explosive tephra crater, Mt. Hverfell.
